Pieter Cools was born and raised in Heverlee, Leuven in Belgium. After a season as second-choice goalkeeper at South London United, Cools pushed for, and was granted a transfer to Inter Nusantara. Cools is highly rated and considered an excellent goalkeeper in one on one situations. Some of his teammates in London believed he should be the first choice there and Cools was not afraid to voice his opinion to the manager. He had a difficult working relationship with Fodé Diaby that became toxic over time and a move should suit all parties. Cools is a big fan of bowling and finds it a great way to relax, often sharing a lane with Amirul Abu Bakar. His interests in cryptocurrency saw him develop a strong friendship with Amit Prasad in London and Juozas Butkas at Nusantara.
